Consignor questions.

Frequently asked

There are many benefits of being a consignor with Green Jeans!
You set your own price and earn up to 70% of the sales price. It feels great to clear out unneeded items, knowing that someone else gets to use them, and you make more money than you would selling in a yard sale or a secondhand store.
You prepare, hang and tag/price your items and drop them off before the sale. We take care of everything else.
You may consign up to 65 hanging items and up to 150 total items including shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories at our sale.
Category Limits: Jewelry 25 total. Scarves 5 total. Pants: Fall 15 + Spring 10 total. Skirts 5 total.
Please do not bring shoe boxes to check-in, we will not display shoes with boxes and do not have room to store the boxes (designer shoes with boxes are allowed – i.e. Tory Burch, Golden Goose, Micheal Kors). Please do not attach your shoes together, (no strings, zip ties etc.) shoes are tried on during the sale and if they are attached they do not sell as well. Put one tag on one of your shoes.
  • Your tagging will go much faster!
  • Our shoppers will enjoy a faster checkout.
  • Payment for your sales will be ready sooner!
  • You can check and see what has sold at the end of each sales day during the sale.
  • Your consignor number remains the same for all future sales.
You may consign clothing, accessories, shoes, and handbags. We want our shoppers to know they will have quality merchandise to shop during our sale. Please do not be offended if we do not accept something due to brand exclusion, stains or wear. Refer to our Acceptable Items and Items NOT Accepted tabs above for ideas on what to consign and acceptable brands.
All consignors will receive a base pay of 55% of sold items. If you help with 1 sale helper shift you will receive 60%, if you help with 2 shifts you will receive 65% of your sales and 3 shifts (please note: Must include one 4 hour high priority shift) gets you 70%. OR you may choose to help with four 3-hour shifts (total of 12 hours) and receive 70% of sales. To view available sale helper shifts, click here.
When you tag your items, you will designate whether you want to pick-up or donate your unsold merchandise. If you choose to donate your items, a local charity will come to pick up your items. If you want to pick up your unsold items you must come during the scheduled pick-up time to retrieve them. Anything left after that time will become property of Green Jeans Consignment and all items will be donated to a charity. We cannot make exceptions to this schedule because we have to vacate the sale site promptly.
Unfortunately, Green Jeans has a policy that the $20 consignor fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
We allow any type of hanger for your tops/blouses. We only allow clip type bottom/skirt hangers. Please do not safety pin any clothing items to the hangers. Some consignors find free hangers from old navy and sometimes target + kohls. You do not get your exact hangers that you brought in back, but you may come during and after the sale to collect hangers (please bring a bin or bag) to save for the next season. If you do not have bottom hangers, you may rent hangers from Green Jeans at clothing drop off ($5 for up to 15 hangers- we will take that off of your earnings at the end of the sale).
We will be sending you an E-Check via email (please be sure you have access to the email in your profile with the MyCM tagging system). You will be able to simply print your check and deposit into your bank account via mobile deposit or take it to your bank for immediate deposit. You can expect this check via email within 2 weeks following the sale.

PLEASE NOTE: It is important that your name is correct in the MyCM tagging system (the name in the tagging system is the name the check will be made out to). Please be sure your printer is set up in working order when you go to print the check. If you do not have a printer you can print at an office supply store or your local library.

No. You drop off your items and we do the rest. If you want to help at the sale, we welcome your help! Sign up for a shift… or two!
You set your own price. Use the original price and brand as your guide or view our price reference guide. General rule of thumb is 25% of original price. Ask yourself, “What would I pay for this item at a consignment sale?” Price to sell! Designate whether you want your item reduced 50% at our half price sale. WE HIGHLY suggest you discount all your items. We sell so much before the half price sale!
There is a $20 consignor fee which helps offset costs such as: location rentals, advertising, signage, etc. The fee must be paid prior to registration. Consignors who choose to rent pant hangers (up to 10) will be charged a $5 rental fee, which will be deducted from their earnings. You receive these hangers at your drop off time slot.
